Craiova Court of Appeal runs during the period from 01.06.2016 to 01.06.2017 the project Protecting the Civil Rights of the European Citizens – Multidisciplinary Approach , submitted to the Directorate General of Justice of the European Commission, within the financing line Action grants to support transnational projects on judicial training covering civil law, criminal law, fundamental rights and fight against terrorism and radicalisation.
By the decision of the European Commission no. 1251313/11.03.2016, the project was approved to receive a grant worth EUR 168,757.00.
The project is implemented by Craiova Court of Appeal in partnership with the Regional Court of Rijeka (Croatia), the German Foundation for International Judicial Cooperation - IRZ (Germany) and Suceava Court of Appeal and shall include 3 sessions of intensive professional training of magistrates in Croatia Germany and Romania, both on the legal component (protection measures in civil matters in the light of the Regulation (EU) no. 606/2013 and the latest European instruments on judicial cooperation in civil matters) and the sociological component, aiming at a multidisciplinary training in the protection of citizens’ civil rights in Europe.
The end result of the project shall materialize in the development of a guidebook on the topic of the Legislative and Sociological Study of Protection Measures in Civil Matters for judges in EU Member States, which shall include theoretical presentations of the legal instruments and procedures applicable to the international judicial cooperation in civil matters and the relevant jurisprudence.
The guidebook will be in English, German, Croatian and Romanian and will be available for accession on the website dedicated to the project Protecting the Civil Rights of the European Citizens - Multidisciplinary Approach and on the websites of Partners involved in this program.
